Our Opinion
You will hardly have time to follow a language
course in Paris. The city has, quite simply, too much to offer its
visitors. You could browse round the world famous Louvre or the
Musée d'Orsay. Or you could go shopping in the small French boutiques,
unless you prefer big department stores like Galeries Lafayettes.
What about a boat trip along the Seine, or do you just want to sample
the atmosphere in cosy St. Germain-des-Prés? Then there is Place
de Vosges, or picturesque Montmartre, or the Champs-Elysées.
This enormous wealth of culture did not arrive
over night. A hard and heavy battle was fought to accomplish it.
It is certainly no coincidence that the first civil revolution of
modern times originated in Paris and its inhabitants still have
the desire for freedom. So limitations in the field of arts are
not appreciated at all. On the contrary, in every aspect of Parisian
life and, particularly where art is concerned, all kind of things
are being tested, changed and renewed. In no other metropolis do
people adhere more strictly to the motto: stagnation is decline.
In the end it does not matter where you go or
what you do in Paris since the whole city radiates with a vitality
and joy of life. Whatever you do you will most definately gain a
better understanding of what "la belle vie" means to the French.
And if you get the impression that you have not seen enough of this
dazzling amd exciting capital of France, don't worry, you will surely
come back another time!
